Topic for January 4 - 18

Join us as our Wednesday Evening Ministries resume after our holiday break.   We will offer two choices for adults, both meeting three weeks from January 4-18.

James:  Being Right in a Wrong World.  James wrote in an extraordinary time in history and to a unique people. Unlike Paul, who wrote primarily to congregations defined by Gentile believers, James wrote to a dispersed and persecuted fellowship of Hebrew Christians who would soon endure even more difficulty in the coming years. This New Testament book offers paths to effective living that can only be accessed through a personal relationship with God.  Meeting in the Fellowship Hall and led by Larry Coleman.

Who We Are is How We Pray.  This small group study will look at the relationship between personality and spirituality.   The group will discuss how our natural inclinations can be a pathway to prayer, especially as we become more aware of how our unique personalities pull us in some directions more than others.  This awareness can be a guide for us in our praying, in our relationships with others, and in understanding how to respond more sensitively and effectively in different situations.  Meeting in Room 208 (Specials Studies Sunday School room) and led by Dan Koger.

Even if you are unable to join us for dinner, we invite you to attend the discussion at 6:40 pm. Our youth are being invited as well so we can involve a broader age group in our conversations. Child-care is provided for infants and preschoolers. Bible study and missions education activities are provided for kindergarteners – 6th graders.
