Global Outreach

Churchland Baptist also reaches out to our world:

Baptist World Alliance
The Baptist World Alliance is a fellowship of 210 Baptist unions and conventions comprising a membership of more than 47 million Baptized believers. This represents a community of approximately 110 million Baptist ministering in more than 200 countries. The BWA unites Baptist worldwide, leads in world evangelism, responds to people in need and defends human rights. The annual budget is slightly over $2,000.000. Carney Hargroves, raised and ordained in Churchland, was a previous president.

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. Our mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission. Made up of individuals and approximately 1,800 affiliated churches seeking to be the presence of Christ, the Fellowship serves a larger renewal movement among Baptists. Partnering with 15 theological schools, 18 autonomous state and regional organizations and more than 150 ministry organizations worldwide, CBF has an annual budget of $14.5 million and is based in Atlanta.

Stop Hunger Now
Stop Hunger Now is a nonprofit that seeks to end hunger around the world. Their meal packaging program provides volunteers the opportunity to package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals that are used in school feeding programs in developing countries, or in response to natural disasters. Our church partners each year with other churches and agencies to provide the money and volunteers for this effort.

Missionaries We Support

Bisu Partnership with the Persons
We, as members of Churchland Baptist Church, made a commitment to pray for, and financially support, the missionary efforts of Kirk and Suzie Person and their children through the CBF to a small group of people in Thailand known is the Bisu. Kirk’s primary work is translating the Bible into the Bisu language, Muang.
